City Kids is the outreach component of CenterPoint’s Children’s Ministry. Through a combination of enjoyable large group events and arts related outreach, City Kids hopes to encourage Tallahassee children by providing positive role models and healthy participatory activities. Ultimately, our hope is that through this outreach that many of our city’s children will discover the love of Jesus and that they, and their families, will find a church home at CenterPoint.
Line 150 Starts to Make Some Noise

Line 150 has had a phenomenal start, gaining momentum from day one and picking up speed very quickly. We started meeting at the CenterPoint property (1212 S Monroe St), playing on practice pads, circled around the conference table. Through the generous support of a few folks, we now have all the money for the equipment and have already received the first set of drums. This is a very exciting time for our ministry!
Ant, Jalen, DJ, Dion, Tyree, and Warren: these are the six young men God has brought our way to be a part of Line 150. I don’t think we could have asked for a finer group of young men to begin with. We are excited to see how God will continue to bring us more kids, and that, in due time, Line 150 will be a light not only to the Providence community but to the city of Tallahassee.
Continue to be in prayer for us as we try to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading on how to begin introducing Jesus to these kids and their families. Pray for us that we will know how to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as they arise. Pray for us as school begins and we find ways to tutor the kids.

City Kids is in constant need of volunteers for driving to and from City Kids events and church on Sunday mornings, cooking meals, tutoring and investing time in the lives of young people.
